Fringe 2009 7-31 August
The Office Party
Welcome to edfringe.com
The 2008 Edinburgh Festival Fringe has now come to a close and had many highs and successes despite the downpours, the credit crunch and ticketing problems with the usual vast array of shows, venues and bucket-load of awards. With 1.5 million tickets sold over the course of the festival, (the third consecutive Fringe that the 1.5 million mark has been surpassed) venues popping up across the city ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, and a programme of shows with the full gamut of talent, ambition, and energy, it’s clear that the Edinburgh Festival Fringe remains the worlds largest open arts festival and to many it is considered the Greatest Show On Earth.
But like Christmas, Easter and the football season, as soon as one Fringe is done and dusted another begins to ready itself. So without further ado here’s to the Fringe 2009, which will take place 7-31August.
In the meantime feel free to browse this site which is bursting with info on 2008. Here you can find all of the info on the awards and peruse the reviews and relive your favourite Fringe moments on our Fringe Framed photo gallery. Or why not get chatting on the message boards about this year’s best shows and what might be in store for next year.
Fringe 2008 is over, long live Fringe 2009!
